As we can’t meet on Sundays our Sunday Explorers (children and young people) have been set challenges for Sunday mornings. Last Sunday’s was on the theme of Lazarus, using the Families at Home material from Roots on the Web.

Mollie chose to draw a flower as a visual reminder that Jesus is always with us. It led to discussion about some of the things that make us feel sad or frightened.

We were inspired to draw a lotus flower and noted how the Lotus flower is an ancient symbol across traditions. It symbolises beauty growing in the mud, dirt and darkness.
