In the light of guidance from the government and the national United Reformed Church all our church services and events are postponed for the time being. Please see our circular letter which has been forwarded to members and friends of West Derbyshire United Reformed Church – this can be found under the heading “Newsletters”. 

We currently have morning prayers on Tuesdays at 9:30am and a fellowship meeting on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, both on Zoom. We are aiming to have one Sunday Service a month on Zoom – the next one is Sunday 3 May at 10am. You can get in touch with us to find out more.

We have a varied programme of activities throughout the year for all ages, including coffee mornings, social evenings (e.g. slide shows, poetry and games nights), shared meals and a Christmas bazaar.

Regular Events

Postponed – On most Monday nights we host a table tennis evening at the Glenorchy Centre.  Table Tennis has been postponed until further notice (17 March 2020).

Postponed – On Tuesdays mornings we have prayers in church at 9:30am.

Postponed – Each Friday morning we host ‘Toast and Tea at the URC’ between 9 and 11am.  Toast and Tea has been postponed until further notice (17 March 2020).

Postponed – Monthly fellowship meetings – The monthly fellowship in March will not be held as there will be group meetings for Lent.  For further details please see “Events” on our website.  The monthly Fellowship Meetings held in various homes have been postponed until further notice (17 March 2020).

Scheduled Events:

Postponed – Saturday 28th March 10 to 12 noon – Our Spring Coffee Morning in the Memorial Hall.  For further details please see “Events” on our website.  The Coffee Morning has been postponed until a later date.

Friday 6th March at 2pm – Women’s World Day of Prayer Service at Wellspring Church, St John’s Street, Wirksworth.  For further details please see “Events” on our website.

Cancelled – Lent Meetings organised by Churches Together.  5 Sessions on:  Tuesday evenings starting on 3rd March at the URC (7.30pm) and Thursday mornings starting 5th March at Wellspring Church (10am).

Saturday 21st March – URC Synod Meeting at Nottingham.  The Synod Meeting has been postponed  until a future date.
