After our church service on 24th November our church will be serving hot drinks and mince pies (this is the weekend of the Wirksworth Christmas Market). Please do call in and have a mince pie and drink with us (between 11am and 2pm). We look forward to welcoming you.

Baroque ensemble playing on original instrumentswho will perform music by Telemann, Purcell, Loeillet, Handel and Bach at West Derbyshire URC, Coldwell Street, Wirksworth on Saturday 9th November at 4.30pm. Admission Free. Collection in Aid of Derby Refugee Advice Centre and Wirksworth’s Music Lessons Fund.
On 23rd November at 7.30pm we look forward to welcoming Alfreton Male Voice Choir to the URC who will give an evening of song, music and laughter including items by the “Sagalouts”, the Choir’s comical skiffle group. Our Harvest Thanksgiving and Communion Service will be held on Sunday 6th October at 10am and will be led by Mr Brian Heeley. This year we are supporting Water Aid. The Sunday Explorers visited the Community Garden and returned with items which were “the colours of the rainbow”. A collage has been made of items brought to the thanksgiving service.
On Saturday 19th October we will be open serving tea and scones in church from 10am to 2pm. This is the weekend of the URC. This is the weekend of the Wirksworth Model Railway Exhibition. Please call in and enjoy tea and scones with us.
Jenny and David arranged a lovely Poetry and Coffee Evening in August when members and friends shared a favourite poem – and it was lovely too that a member wrote her own poem entitled “Wirksworth “. We all enjoyed the evening very much.
