It is increasingly evident that singing is linked to far-reaching health benefits. But there are different kinds of singing; one is performance-based and another is simply singing for the enjoyment of doing so, with no ulterior motive.

That’s the flavour of the (little) Big Sing in Wirksworth URC (Coldwell Street) at 2.30pm on Sunday 28th July. Singing is wonderful; but singing together (with others) is a truly healing activity.

We’ll include well-known songs, both secular and sacred; others will/may be new. Some will be thoughtful and others with light-hearted-ness threaded through. Some will be accompanied, others a capella – and some in (easy-peasy) parts.

Do come. And please – leave behind any notion that “I can’t sing”.
